This group of photos was sent by Lars Ringqvist, O
scale modeler from Sweden. The photo above
includes our scale logs, dead falls & ground cover.
Details include a cat and a snake. 11/2006
Another photo from Lars showing our Scale logs.
Our light Oak ground cover is shown along with
coarse ground cover. This scene shows that Lars is
doing some really fine work on his layout.
This is a great shot of a man taking a sip from his
bottle. He is sitting on one of our Items. These
stumps are now available in O scale @$3.50 each.
In HO @ $2.50 each.
Quote from R.J. "The chopped sheet
moss is a wonderful product, adding a
quick but accurate level of detail. Here is
the typical groundcover after all the
Driftwood Scenery materials are glued
down."
Quote from R.J. "Make paths and
building clearings as you go. The
ancient dead falls from Driftwood
Scenery are very believable. I'll add
some more when I add the trees and
cut logs (bigger items) with glue."
The following set of pictures and quotes are from R.J. Dial's layout. See his
website for a virtual clinic on groundcover.

Quote from R.J. "My collection of sand, dirt and rocks.
Found out I really only used just a few. Interesting
observation is that the actual material of the real world
material you are tying to represent rarely looked correct
in the model world. I'm going to chuck most of my 3
decades old collection and continue looking for others
prior to the next layout with this in mind. Can't say
enough good things about the materials from Driftwood
Scenery, though, Definitely will use that material again."
A recent photo from Lars showing
more of our ground cover and logs.
The photos below were sent to us by Rick Fortin, San Jose Ca. Rick has his
own company that designs and builds custom layouts in all scales. Check out
his website www.layoutbuilders.com. The photos are of a section on an HO
layout built for one of Rick's clients. Note the use of our #800NS extra fine
sifted ground cover
Ricks personal layout is a 48' by 30' double deck design in HO, built for
operation. He hosts operations for 20 people once a month. Rick will be
starting a 8' by 8' display layout for a Childrens Hospital soon. It will be
located in the hospital lobby, and will be used by children to temporarily
take their minds off their health problems.
The great backdrop in the photo to the left was painted by one of Rick's
team members, Dave Biondi.
The six photos shown below were sent to us by Jim Dias, Newark California. Jim is using our ground cover
#800,#500 and #600. Also note his use of our #200H Rotted stumps, deadfalls & snags. Jim Sent these
photos some time ago and I must apologise for the delay in having them posted on the web site. I believe
everyone will agree that J.R. is constructing a superb logging rail road
