I have been a narrow guage train buff for years and my
main interest is in logging rail roads. I was fortunate
enough to have visited the Westside Lumber Co. when
they were still operating with the shay's. I began
building my HOn3 gauge layout, Tuolumne River Lumber
Company, in 1991.
As with most modelers, I am constantly on the look out
for new ideas and better ways to help me with my
modeling projects. When I started working on the forest
section above my lumber camp I found that the available
ground cover products did not have the realism I was
looking for. I accidentally discovered the product I
wanted in my own back yard and The Driftwood Scenery
Co. was born. The pictures on this page are from my
layout.
